Experience behind the service
BadPigeon was founded by Paul Byrne, a chartered accountant and software developer with more than 30 years’ experience creating software for small businesses and accountants.
Paul co-founded Thesaurus Software in the early 1990s and helped develop it from a small Irish family business into Bright Software Group, a leading provider of payroll, accounting and HR software used by hundreds of thousands of employers across Ireland and the UK. He remains a board director of Bright Software Group.
Throughout his career, Paul’s focus has been on making complicated business processes simpler through affordable, practical software. BadPigeon applies the same philosophy to websites.
A useful option for accountants and advisers
I spent many years as an accountant in practice, and looking back, I think it would have been useful to be able to include a simple website as part of the service we offered to new business clients.
Accountants are often involved at the very beginning of a business—helping with company formation, tax registration, bookkeeping, payroll and other practical matters. A basic website is increasingly another part of getting a business up and running.
BadPigeon gives accountants and advisers an ultra-low-cost way to help with that. They can refer clients who will manage their own website, or provide and manage websites directly as part of the practice’s services.

You may continue using your onweb.site website while also giving a copy to another website provider. If you decide to move permanently, you can redirect visitors from your BadPigeon address to your new website while your subscription remains active.
We want customers to remain with us because the service is useful—not because leaving is difficult.
